Original Rollei 4 piece universal extension ring set. Set enables open lens focusing and automatic diaphragm function with dual cable release. Also serves as close up shade and filter holder for retro mounted lenses.

Extensions available with this set are both 40mm and 80mm. Ring can also be combined with individual extension rings and bellows system.

80mm Planar retro mounted, extension ring assembly serves as automatic closing device for the diaphragm and doubles as a  shade and filter holder.

Ring assembly for 80mm with automatic diaphragm, not retro position of lens. Ideal for longer lenses.

The 4 pieces that come with the Extension Ring Set:
  1. Optical bayonet ring with camera bayonet and cable release connector on one side, and a thread mount adapter on the other side. This part can be attached to # 2, 3 and 4.
  2. Filter ring with bayonet VI on one side for filters, shades or to insert into camera bayonet like a retro mounted lens, and thread on the other side. Couples only to ring #1.
  3. 40mm ring, one side has a lens bayonet, the other side has a thread, which couples only to ring #1 to obtain a 40mm extension ring.
  4. 80mm ring, one side has a lens bayonet, the other side has a thread, which couples only to ring #1 to obtain a 40mm extension ring.

Shown here is an "ideal" set of extension rings, assuming that the lens will be reverse mounted on the camera.

It is one complete set of the 4 piece extension ring plus one extra optical ring #1. While 1 and 2 together act as shade, filter holder and adaptyer for automatic diaphragm, the extra # 1 ring couples with either # 3 for a 40mm extension or # 4 for an 80mm extension ring.
